Adult Class: Relating to Art

As the weather begins to shift from warm, sunny days to cooler air, there's an indoor activity adults (18+) on the spectrum might enjoy. If you like art, the Autism Society has partnered with The Nelson-Atkins Museum to bring monthly art classes. The classes are free, but enrollment is required because space is limited.

The classes are held in the Ford Learning Center (classrooms 4 and 5) and are two hours in length. Classes run from September 2018 to July 2019. Care partners may stay with the student if desired.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, there are a few ways to register. You can call 816-235-6415 and ask for Kate Duffy. You can also email Kate at duffymp@umkc.edu. You can also register online at the Nelson-Atkins website at http://nelson-atkins.org/events/adult-class-relating-art/.

If you have specific questions about this program, feel free to call the ASH office at 913-706-0042.
