Our Vision:
The Autism Society - The Heartland is a certified 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, a chapter of the Autism Society formerly known as the Autism Society of America. Our membership is composed of families, educators, and other professionals who are dedicated to providing effective support, education and advocacy for the autism community.
- We will remain focused on the needs of our members to create a collaborative and effective organization that recognizes that the heart of the autism issue is and has been the families and children affected by this neurological disorder.
- We are committed to providing families with current and accurate resources and information in order for them to advocate effectively for their children.
- We will collaborate with existing community agencies and organizations to address the concerns of parents in regards to the needs of their children within their communities.
- We will promote public awareness and support for those affected by autism spectrum disorders.
