Autism Society-The Heartland (ASH) serves as the official Kansas and Missouri affiliate of the Autism Society of America. At ASH, our focus is on supporting both individuals and their families. We offer opportunities for education, self-advocacy, and community support. Our programs include A.W.A.R.E. activities, the promotion of the film "Just Like You – Autism," support groups, and ongoing collaboration with local service providers to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities.

However, we recognize that many individuals prefer identity-first language and will always honor personal preferences in one-on-one correspondence.
